Rafael Gonzalez is a brand founded in the 1930s.

The brand's factory name is Cervantes and was originally named Lonsdale after Lord Lonsdale.

Each box has a strange English wording on the lid label to the effect that the cigars should be smoked within a month of shipment in Havana, otherwise they should be carefully aged for about a year.

All sizes are made with filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region in Pinar del Rio, characterized by their light strength.

Rafael González vitolas are "Totalmente a Mano con Tripa Larga" - completely handmade with long fillings and only one with short filling technology.
